Where to begin?

The new look to my website has me thinking about all the things I’d like to blog about!  I’m excited to be writing again, reaching out to those readers who would find an interest in what I have to say.  My whole adulthood has been spent on being a rebel in health care and sharing my philosophy and experiences.  I think I was born into this, as looking back (hindsight is always so much more insightful) I recall wanting to go into medicine when I was in high school, more into research than actually being a doctor, as I was scared to death of all doctors, nurses, dentists and needles!  I remember my conversations with my 11th grade chemistry teacher, Mrs. Curran.  She told me that I would have to face a cadaver at some point in my education if I went the health care route, and there was just no way I would have been able to stomach it or withstand it then.  I wished for “bloodless medicine” and it took me twenty more years to find it.  I truly believe we all come into this world with goals and directions pre-set, and we do our best to weave through the maze of our life to accomplish that which we came to do.  For some it is very direct and easy.  For others, it is a longer journey, and still yet, for some it takes a lifetime to find it.  I “knew” what I was supposed to do, but didn’t have a direct line to it, but somewhere in my middle age I found that passion and just knew it was the “calling.”  I can’t say it’s been easy.  No.  I often feel like a fish going upstream all the time!  It’s so hard to know at 18 years of age what you want to do with the rest of your life!  It’s hard at any age.

I’ve found my passion in being a homeopath, and trying to help others understand how different it is from what we have been taught by our western medicine.  Being healthy is something that you, personally have to be responsible for.

I’ve given a lot of thought in to what I want to write about, such as my thoughts on depression and antidepressants, acute illnesses and the overuse of antibiotics, and the flu vaccine.  I’d like to talk about my topical homeopathic pain cream and its fantastic uses and results.  It’s important for me to share my experiences of the healing power of meditation and hypnosis, and going deep into yourself to find the answers.  I’d like to discuss that what we put into our bodies is so significant , and how moderate exercise (and I really hate to exercise at a gym or otherwise) is just so important.  And, I want to share my many actual real-life cases of mental, emotional and physical illnesses and their very happy results due to homeopathy and alternative medicine.

Maybe it will help someone, someday, when they most need it.

One last thing I want to say today is this:  oftentimes it isn’t either/or; it is both, in complement to one another.  In other words, homeopathy, meditation, acupuncture and all the other alternative healthcare avenues work with western medicine.  They work together, where one modality makes up a deficiency of the other.  So always remember, you do have options.
